Bell 212 Helicopter
The Bell 212 is also known as the “Twin Two-Twelve” is a two blade, medium utility helicopter powered by a Pratt & Whitney Twin Pac with two couple power turbines. It has up to a 15 seat capacity with one pilot and up to fourteen passangers. In cargo carrying configuration the 212 has an internal capacity of about 220 cu ft / 6.23 cubic m. An external load of up to 5,000 lb / 2,268kg can be carried.
This aircraft is incredibly versatile due to its size and performance as well as its certification for marginal weather conditions. Therefor the 212 is frequently used in the offshore drilling industry, maritime rescue and timber and commodity industries. Due to its rigidity this helicopter is also built in a military version: the famous “Twin Huey”.
